The opening ceremony of the Festival was marked by one of the main events - the grand opening of the exhibition of Chinese calligraphy and painting created by two masters at once - Qin Libin (秦理斌) and Chan Peng (常鹏). The works of master Qin Libin, which are famous both in China and abroad – are the art of modern Chinese calligraphy. Chan Peng's works are presented at the exhibition - painting "gunbi" (literally translated as "careful, neat brush") based on the works of Chinese artists of X-XIII centuries. Due to quarantine restrictions, Qin Libin didn’t have an opportunity  to attend the opening of the exhibition, but instead of this he had sent video greetings.

However, Chan Peng not only personally presented his works and made a welcoming speech, but also created several new paintings in plain view of our guests.

Participants and guests of the Festival had the opportunity not only to overlook the works of masters, but also to get acquainted with the culture of China. Many musical numbers of Chinese traditional and folk music, Chinese traditional musical instruments and pearls of Chinese culture such as taijiquan太极拳and tea ceremony were presented during the concert.

Chinese calligraphy, especially the art of depicting hieroglyphs, allows not only to display the content of the text, but also to visually convey its inner state. This kind of writing has special feature of showing on paper the harmony of spirit and movement. In the East, calligraphy has always attached special importance. People believe that such activities can nurture high moral qualities and help achieve spiritual development. Chinese painting and calligraphy have long been called related because they have the same materials and writing methods. They push each other in development, because they are based on the harmony of lines that reflect the feelings of the artist.
